Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at SA Elementary School are excited to read and visit our library! They are always making suggestions and asking for new books they would like to have in our library.

The Harry Potter Series has been very popular this year and students have been asking for the illustrated editions of the books!

These illustrated versions of the books are more accessible to students who are intimidated by the size and type font of the original Harry Potter books. Students have come to love having illustrations enhance their reading experience and many prefer graphic novels over traditional chapter books for that reason. These Harry Potter illustrated chapter books provide a bridge for students who learn that they can read and enjoy books with more text than they are used to. I look forward to being able to offer them to our students and help them grow as readers!
