My Project

Dear Donors, I am reaching out to you on behalf of my extraordinary 4th grade students that live and learn in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Our classroom is housed in a portable building, and while it provides a unique and cozy space for learning, we are in need of resources to foster the social and emotional development of these exceptional students.

This project aims to equip our classroom with essential materials that will support our students' social and emotional learning (SEL) journey. These resources will not only enhance their ability to navigate and manage their emotions but also create a positive and inclusive learning environment. We believe that by focusing on SEL, we can empower our students to develop crucial life skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Floor cushions will allow students to move around and work freely, while remaining comfortable. Brainteasers, fidgets, and calming strips support student emotions and provide opportunities for them recenter and refocus. The disco ball and karaoke will provide opportunities to celebrate students and encourage academic growth through positive and intrinsic motivation.

Additionally, we are requesting organizational items to optimize our limited space, including a bookshelf, storage cubbies, and a storage bench that will contribute to a well-organized and conducive learning environment. Your support will have a lasting impact on these resilient students, helping them build the foundation for a successful future.
