Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am thrilled to reach out to you today on behalf of the passionate students in our 9-12 choir classroom. As we endeavor to cultivate not only musical excellence but also our well-being, I am excited to add the concept of a Regulation Station to our classroom.

A Regulation Station will serve as a dedicated area where students can retreat to when they need a moment to center themselves, regulate their emotions, and find calm amidst the bustling energy of our creative endeavors.

By providing this resource, we aim to foster a supportive environment where students feel empowered to manage stress and anxiety effectively, ultimately enhancing their overall learning experience.

The following materials are essential components of our envisioned Regulation Station:

Breathing Balls: These effective tools promote deep breathing and mindfulness.

Glitter Tube: A mesmerizing visual aid, the glitter tube offers a soothing distraction, allowing students to unwind and refocus their thoughts.

Coloring Materials: Coloring has been proven to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Sequin Pillow: The tactile sensation of running one's fingers over a sequin pillow provides sensory stimulation and can help alleviate anxiety and promote a sense of calm.

Stress Ball: Squeezing a stress ball can help release tension and channel excess energy, providing students with an outlet for stress relief.

Large Bean Bag: Comfortable seating options such as large bean bags offer students a cozy space to relax and recharge.

By generously supporting our project, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and success of our choir students. Your contribution will not only provide tangible resources but also send a powerful message of care and support to our choir community.
