My Students

Ninety eight percent of the students in my school are on free and reduced lunch. Our Title I school is is populated with almost 350 students. Our students need motivation throughout the year. Students who exhibit positive lifelong habits such as reading makes my heart skip a beat.

My students are fun-loving and eager to learn.

Once they enter our doors, they become our future. They are curious and fearless all at the same time. We are learning this school year virtually. It is key that they continue read and show comprehension.

My Project

Gotta keep reading! During this season of social distancing, reading takes scholars to faraway places. Reading educates. Reading inspires. Reading reminds. Reading not only teaches our scholars to read, but it also prepares them for school and their future.

These books will be used to promote happiness during this time where students may be socially and emotionally disconnected.

Reading makes our scholars happy! It makes them want to figure out a way to read faster, if only to be able to finish more books, learn about more places, take on new challenges, and be inspired to reach new heights.

Ms. Dozier Edgewood Elementary School Grades 3-5
