My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They strive to do their best on a daily basis, although many are on different learning levels. We use Teachers Pay Teachers to gather worksheets and digital items for each student that's tailored to their needs!

Autism is an extremely challenging disability that affects every aspect of my students' lives. My classroom is made up of eight young people with autism. We are located in a low-income school where I need to buy most if not all of my own supplies.

My Project

I am requesting access to Happy Numbers website, which is an online math computer program that supports students both at home and at school. Happy Numbers was offered free of charge to all students for the rest of the school year last year when the beginning of the pandemic happened, which was later extended throughout the summer months. We have since been able to have DonorsChoose help us with a subscription but has expired! Students are enjoying making their way through a "board game" to learn their math concepts in a fun and interactive way!

Happy Numbers is an excellent resource to help differentiate math curriculum to help make learning fun!

Students initially take a placement test to help place them where their learning level would be. Many of my students in my room are on different levels of learning and Happy Numbers helps meet the basic math knowledge that they are missing!
