Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help us give our students the resources they need to celebrate the Lunar New Year, build unity, and create a positive, collaborative environment that promotes learning and connections.

Your donation will give our students a chance to step into another culture, celebrate diversity, and create lasting memories.

The blenders will allow us to make healthy smoothies and drinks for our students. This will allow students to engage in practical, hands-on learning by creating fresh juices from fruits and vegetables. This process teaches them about the nutritional value of natural ingredients and the importance of incorporating fresh produce into their diets. We will be making berry smoothies for the Lunar New Year. The toaster oven and air fryer will allow students to explore the benefits of healthy, fresh foods, rather than relying solely on processed snacks. Our students will learn about Lunar New Year history and food traditions by cooking Chinese recipes .

We will be bringing the history and traditions of the Lunar New Year to our students with a curriculum provided by Panda Express. The activities include Lunar New Year trivia, world exploration, learning Chinese words and phrases.
