My Project

A tradition in my classroom is to learn about holidays celebrated around the world, not just here in America. These activities take place in the month of December and then when we return from break we learn about the holiday traditions in China. Students engage in read-alouds and videos about the Lunar New Year to help them better understand how this tradition is celebrated.

With the help of Panda Express, my students also receive activity packets to deepen their understanding of this special time of year.

This project will allow my students to read new books about the Lunar New Year and complete an art project that will be displayed in the hallway. The art project will reflect our understanding of the Lunar New Year and celebrate our new knowledge!
