This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my Kindergarten Dual Language class is learning to appreciate and study how different holidays are celebrated. We are so excited to include a unit about one of the most important holiday that is also most of the most popuar right here in New York City; Lunar New Year.

We so desperately need the books and materials to ensure that they are learning about the Lunar New Year traditions, foods, and decorations that have multiple meanings and deeply rooted in the Asian American community.

Please help my class to start this unit of study as soon as possible and to honor the Lunar New Year as best we can.
