My Project

The items chosen (beanbag chairs, rug, SPOT toys, calm ball, dice game & snacks) in this project will help me provide an atmosphere that is conducive to creating an environment that is kid friendly and allows students to feel comfortable expressing themselves socially and emotionally.

As you know, many students have sensory concerns therefore providing an alternative to the mundane desk and chairs would be stimulating as the students will have a choice of seating arrangements.

My goal for my classroom this year is for the student to know that the room was designed with them in mind.

My students are special in the own way as they helped our school excel in academics as we are now a "B" school by state standards. Therefore, creating a student-centered therapeutic room would increase our changes to rise to an "A" school and allow students to put their best foot forward.
