Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have the biggest hearts. They are funny and silly at times and that brings a smile to everyone. They show respect for adults and other students. They are willing to help one another and show that they are ready to learn. I would love my team to give each student that extra support to take home more school materials and use it in both places when we return to school. My students look forward to coming to school and learning different strategies while we practice fun hands-on activities. We have students from different grade levels that join our group and they look forward to returning to class and socializing with their peers.

My Project

Writing skills is great for day-to-day practice in class or at home! Having hands-on journal books is a great way to keep students practicing their writing while using a pencil than just type throughout learning digitally. My students will learn five or more words from the sight word journals. Journals are a safe way for each student to keep in their desk or to take home to practice with phonics, writing, and reading during this time and not being able to share materials. We continue to use cleaning wipes as well and there a daily use in their routine.
