My Project

I absolutely love celebrating birthdays! There's something so special about making someone feel valued and appreciated on their special day. Every year, I create a birthday calendar for my students where they can mark their birthdays or half-birthdays (for those with summer birthdays) so that we can celebrate together as a class.

I want every student to feel recognized and included, no matter when their birthday falls.

In the past, I kept things simple by giving each student a pencil and a piece of candy on their birthday, and they always enjoyed that small gesture. However, last year, I decided to take it up a notch and introduced birthday cups—and they were a huge hit! Each cup is filled with fun little treats and surprises, making the students feel extra special. Seeing their faces light up when they receive their birthday cup is priceless.

For some of my students, this small token of appreciation is the only gift they receive on their birthday, which makes it even more meaningful to me. It warms my heart to know that I can bring a little bit of joy to their day, and it’s a tradition I look forward to continuing for years to come. Birthdays should be celebrated, and I love being able to make my students feel special in a way that they’ll remember!
