My scholars are an amazing and insightful group of students who will become the leaders of the future. They are a microcosm of the community we live in. My students come from a wide array of backgrounds (Native American, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African American, Hindu, Asian and Caucasian) and from diverse economic backgrounds and family groupings. They are supported by a strong, creative staff of educators and parents who believe in their ability to impact the world around them in positive and meaningful ways.
My students are eager to learn and thrive on new, innovative curriculum, which has real-world applications.
My Project
Even though we are still learning from a distance, we want to be able to plan for the future and celebrate our love for reading. Dr. Seuss is an incredible author of children's literacy. All our students love his books. we want to celebrate his birthday in March with a school wide party and family night. Students will be inspired to write like Dr. Seuss with their hats, pencils, notepads and erasers. We will have a special drive through event where they will pick up their goodie bags. Then teachers will zoom on a special night, sharing his literature and having the students complete some exciting activities.
