Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There is something magical about sitting with children and reading them fairy tales as well as folk tales. I enjoy reading these to my students daily, having them recall information from the story, come up with new endings to stories, and predict what they think will happen next.
I want to give them a chance to bring these stories to a whole new level, and explore them HANDS-ON!
With the use of the Fairy Tales Problem Solving Kits 1 and 2, my students will having so many opportunities to engineer endings to these fairy tales. They can work together to build a house that cannot be knocked down, figure out how to make a bridge for the goats to safely cross, and design a chair that Goldilocks cannot break. The possibilities are endless!
