Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special education students from low-income households. Most students are from families of immigrants and have limited resources. They require assistance in many areas and we try to provide as much as we can in our school.

They are highly motivated to succeed but have many barriers impeding on their success.

Many students have physical and/or developmental difficulties. Despite these limitations and barriers they are motivated to achieve to the best of their abilities and strive for success. Learning through a pandemic has been especially difficult for my students and I would like to help them succeed in anyway possible.

My Project

These handwriting helpers will allow my students the opportunities to improve their handwriting skills in and out of the classroom. The cushions will allow them to attend to their assignments by given them appropriate movement while seated in their chairs. The putty will help them strengthen their hands to improve their pencil grasp. The legiliner will be a game changer in order to adapt all their writing assignments with appropriate lines for writing.

These handwriting helpers will make a world of a difference for my students.

I am excited to provide them the opportunity to improve their handwriting with all these supplies.
