My Students

My Pre-K students, their families, and school are as dynamic as the surrounding neighborhood. I love that my students are energetic, imaginative, and excited to come to school. I strive to continually make my classroom a place where my students can build confidence and learn through their own curiosity.

Pre-K is an exciting year where many of my students have their first school experiences.

I am lucky to be the one to introduce school life to them. Their enthusiasm and energy make me fall in love with school all over again!

My Project

Preschoolers love seeing their name in print. They are more excited when they are able to write their own name correctly. These Handwriting Without Tears materials are the perfect accessory to give me the appropriate, consistent language my young students need to make sense out of the squiggles and lines we call letters and numbers.

We will look at letters and numbers closely determining if they have straight lines, curvy lines, or both.

Then we will practice building letters and numbers with the wooden pieces and finally practice making all sorts of lines and then letters and numbers in our practice book.
