Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students include a large percentage of English language learners. They are eager to learn, however, they can struggle with scientific terminology and conceptual learning.

To improve their learning experience, my students need differentiated lessons, visuals, and direct involvement.

The needs of my students are more difficult to meet during remote learning, such as hands-on activities and experimentation. Involvement in science, rather than passive learning, can help these kids greatly.

My Project

These models will be used to provide students with better visuals during remote instruction. Molecules, such as glucose can be built using the models which will help students understand their 3D structure.

Students will be able to see where chemical bonds are broken or created during the chemical reactions of life.

This is an invaluable resource to have when learning about the basic molecules that compose living things, the processes that make proteins in the body, or the energy reactions respiration and photosynthesis. Students always learn better when they can see the molecules in action!
