My Students

My school serves approximately 440 students and is part of a smaller district in Southern California. It is a sought-after elementary school in the community because expectations are high and students are challenged to achieve to their highest potential.

The staff members at my school truly believe that all children can and will learn, and we are committed to identifying strategies to reach and maintain this vision.

My Project

We are very excited to be back in the classroom after months of learning virtually! Unfortunately, our classroom does not look the same as it did pre-Covid19. My classroom has always been an active learning environment with flexible seating and ample opportunity to engage in hands-on collaborative work. Currently, we are understandably required to remain at our personal learning spaces (desks) and not able to share materials the way we used to. My goal is to provide my students with ample supplies to engage in hands-on STEM activities at their own desks during our staggered arrival and dismissal times. These materials will be added to my current supply to create a variety of activities that will keep my students excited about working at their desks!
