My Students

My students are a great group of students who are filled with a lot of energy. My students are a mixture of Brooklyn natives and recent immigrants to the country. They work super hard and are eager and excited to learn. While my students come from diverse backgrounds there are many commonalities that bring them together.

My Project

My students are bundles of creativity! Many of my students like to express themselves through hands on creativity. While creating a piece of art or working with crafts they have a pathway to express how they feel without using words.

Whether it is through music or the arts my students need to have an outlet to find their voice, learn to balance and understand their emotional wellness.

When students are creating a piece of art they tend to calm down and open up about how they feel. This is when many of the supportive, emotional and wellness conversations occur in the the classroom. These craft supplies, such as cardstock and adhesive vinyl will allow students the tools to create their own master pieces of understanding who they are.
