My Students

In September my students began a whole new experience at school. I want to make it as fun and as safe as possible. I also want them to have the materials they need for both in school and remote learning at home. My new first grade students will be eager to learn in our new normal. My students are in a Title I high-needs area with 100% free lunch and breakfast.

My Project

Learning through the use of hands-on materials is the most interactive, meaningful and engaging way to learn. Students will enjoy STEAM projects using magnets, experimenting, and building. The students will be excited to learn when they have engaging materials. The way of the future is learning through cooperative groups and these materials can allow for those lessons. This year is off to a positive beginning, however building students back up socially and emotionally is an important piece. Giving them opportunities to work collaboratively and talk with their classmates is more important than ever before. The students will also have instructional supports such as graphic organizers or colorful mini books from Teachers Pay Teachers.
