All children need exposure to the scientific world. In my classroom, consisting of 18 Kindergarteners we promote science to its fullest potential. What a fantastic way for the children to learn about the world in which they live. We have a "SCIENTIST OF THE WEEK." They are so proud of themselves and of course I am the proud teacher. I teach Kindergarten at a Title 1 school. My students learn best through the use of hands-on-materials. I would love to have some hands-on-science materials to go in my science center and to help/assist some of our "Kindergarten Scientists" in completing/presenting their projects. For example: One of the items I wanted to order was snow. (Really feels like the real thing.) I have told my children all about it but seeing and feeling it can be very different. We are located on the coast in Southeastern North Carolina. It is VERY RARE that we see ice or snow. Please help me to enable them to get these real-life/hands on experiences.
