This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing to request funding for an exciting project that aims to provide hands-on science materials for our elementary school students, particularly those who are asylum-seekers and English language learners. I am requesting Shadow Matching and Memory Game,

Insect Life Cycle Game and more.

By offering these students the opportunity to explore science using their five senses, we can enhance their language development, build their vocabulary, and foster a sense of confidence and comfort within the science classroom. The objective of this project is to provide our students with hands-on science materials that engage their five senses, allowing them to actively participate in scientific exploration and language development as well as engineering and building centers and science specimen centers. By incorporating these tools into our science curriculum, we aim to create an inclusive and immersive learning environment for our diverse student population. These tools will enable students to observe objects up close, stimulating their sense of sight and encouraging them to describe their observations using scientific vocabulary.
