This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Math manipulatives help students learn mathematical skills in a hands on way. Math manipulatives help make abstract ideas concrete. They help increase a student's confidence by providing students with a tangible way to test and confirm their mathematical reasoning.

Math can be a scary subject for students, it becomes less scary when we have different ways to explain and show the concepts to our students.

These tools, such as double-sided magnetic money, giant magnetic base ten sets, and other manipulatives will help me reinforce math skills and concepts with my students during small and whole group instruction.
