Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we begin the day with a morning meeting. Before the morning meeting, 4 students every week have the job of reporting the date, weather, and recording how many days in school. They think they are just doing a job but actually, they are applying what they know or learned about calendar skills, numbers, adding, patterns, and many more math skills that are taught in Kindergarten.

Math is all around us!

The manipulatives that I have requested, the hand-on calendar, puzzles, individual ten frames, and tangram kit will allow my students to reinforce what they have learned while having fun!
