Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very visual learners and work best when given opportunities to learn through visual aids. They come to school each day eager to learn and participate. They love hands-on activities and these learning opportunities allow them to explore and investigate mathematical concepts. Through the use of games and centers I am best able to meet my students' needs and engage them in their learning. They are willing to take chances and be more involved in their learning when they are engaged. The Cricut machine will allow me to continue to differentiate learning tasks for each of my students. They have very varied learning styles and academic goals and this tool will help me to better meet their needs.

They come from many different backgrounds and each day we come together to form an inclusive learning environment where students are progressing and making great academic gains.

Each student in my classroom loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies tremendously. Throughout the day I work with the students to best meet their needs. I am very fortunate to work with such inspiring students who want to learn and I know that offering them new opportunities will excite them. I want to continue to make math and science both fun and meaningful for my students. My students love when a lesson involves hands-on opportunities and their level of participation increases greatly. It also allows them to make more connections to the real world. Through the use of math and science games and tasks I am better able to differentiate and have students working at their own levels without distractions to others. I know that this level of differentiation will allow my students to find success each day.
