Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Special education is a fun and unique experience with kids who vary in abilities and goals. Because I am an RSP teacher, my students come from different grades and very different backgrounds. All my students have very unique needs that will be met in various ways. Some students will be working on academic goals, while other students are working on behavior goals.

My students are very unique and bring so much personality into my classroom.

Each day is very different from the previous day and will be very different from the next day. Our classroom is like a family that unites all grade levels, where the kids can learn from each other and form bonds that will last a lifetime.

My Project

As a first year special education teacher, I do not currently possess many of the common classroom supplies that students need in order to be successful. Basic supplies such as crayons, markers, whiteboards, and more are essential in every classroom. Students need these basic tools in order to support their learning in the classroom.

Hands on manipulatives for mathematics and language arts are very beneficial to students, especially those with specific learning disabilities.

With your support, I will be able to provide my students with tactile tools to enhance their learning. Students with special needs, as well as kinesthetic learners, will greatly benefit from this classroom project. Thank you!
