My Project

I teach young enthusiastic children who are eager to learn. Teaching young learners basic phonemic awareness skills is the stepping stone for decoding and reading comprehension skills. Our new reading program includes all the hands-on ideas, but not all the necessary tools.

Molding clay and dot paints will help me teach how to isolate, segment, add, and delete sounds in simple words during our small group instruction.

The mirrors will give my students the opportunity to see themselves making new sounds and learn the proper way to produce sounds in words.
