Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from homes where parents are working multiple jobs to keep a roof over their heads and food in their bodies. Supplying my students with as much hands on learning as I possibly can will enable them to experience what they would otherwise not have a chance to.

My students are brilliant 5/6 year olds who are eager to learn.

Their excitement is contagious! English is not the primary language for many of my students and for most, I am their first schooling experience. They come to not only to increase their academic knowledge, but to grow as individuals both socially and emotionally. Just as they were my own, I want to supply them with everything they need to empower them with knowledge and success!

My Project

The resources will allow my students to understand the language pattern of the English language and equip them with the tools to decode word parts to read unfamiliar words and make meaning of messages written in texts. Furthermore, they will allow students to learn information through reading and provide them with experiences through reading that they may not otherwise have.

My project is very important as it helps provide supplies needed to young students who are experiencing school for the first time.

Allowing those students to feel successful will embed them with a positive attitude about school. We want our students to feel success in order to increase their motivation as well as to allow them to feel a sense of accomplishment to in turn create students with high self-esteems.
