This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of hands-on printed materials has an invaluable impact on my students’ academic development. My eager group of English language learners are always ready to dive into our learning, and they benefit tremendously from being able to read colorful reference materials at their tables during group and independent work. Additionally, there is a wide variety in terms of command of the English Language within my classroom. So, differentiated activities are a must in terms of helping ALL my students access class lessons independently on their level. The confidence that my students feel when they are able to complete an activity independently is truly magical to witness, and I would love to share that magic with you!

Your generous donation will provide my students with the materials they need to make meaningful progress toward their academic goals and to gain a critical sense of self-efficacy in their ability to persevere through challenges.
