Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each child in my Moderate to Severe Special Education classroom absolutely loves learning, the method which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, small group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group of unique students, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

Hands-on learning materials allow students to learn with real world and tangible materials. This makes learning concepts more concrete, understandable, and motivating to engage with!

My students learn best when they can directly touch and manipulate materials in small groups.

Tools for learning Math and ELA concepts provide students the opportunity to engage in experiential learning. They help with math skills including telling time, money, counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. ELA skills include fine motor and handwriting, and life skills such as fasteners, and making purchases.

Light covers are also included to help us complete our sensory friendly lighting in our two learning spaces.
