My Students

Starting kindergarten remotely is definitely not ideal but my students come to class every day excited and ready to learn. My class consists of 27 students, 12 of which will be coming back for in-person learning. 92% of the student population is low-income and all students receive free lunch.

My Project

I like creating labels for my students to post around the classroom. However the labels wear quickly unless they're laminated. Students thrive in a print rich environment. Environmental print is important because it keeps students interested and encourages reading and writing. As a result students become more confident.

I also like to create hands-on centers and games for students that requires them to touch a lot of the pieces.

Unless these pieces are laminated they won't get much use.

As a teacher my priority is making learning fun and hands-on .
