My Students

My students need a comfortable learning environment! My students have learning disabilities and need a comfortable space to learn.

I want my classroom to be a space where all students have a chance to succeed.

My school is a Title I school, with very limited funding. My students are diverse and speak many languages. My students come from low-income families and don't have a quiet and comfy place to study or complete homework. My students are English language learners or students with disabilities. It is important for them to have a comfortable learning place.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students learning because students, especially students with disabilities, learn best through hands-on learning. Students need to experience and learn through their 5 senses. This makes learning more meaningful and they are more likely to remember what they learned. This also makes learning more interesting. These hands-on materials are important as it helps students learn their alphabet sounds and how to decode/encode words. The reading materials will help them learn reading skills in a fun way. Students also get to learn and work in pairs and in groups. This will be a perfect opportunity for students to learn concepts hands-on!
