My Students

I love my students and my community! I have amazing students who are driven and always strive to succeed. These students exhibit a wide range of academic skills that demand a variety of ways to enhance their learning.

As a teacher, I try to provide engaging, rigorous, and differentiated activities every day.

These children are growing up in a fast-paced world, and I want them to be prepared to keep up with these demands and acquire 21st century learning skills.

My Project

As students participate in learning activities with these math and science manipulatives, they will learn a variety of skills and will deepen their understanding of the math and science concepts we are learning.

Children learn best through experience and hands-on activities.

The SumBlox I am asking for are an amazing tool that will help children explore basic arithmetic. These wooden blocks are shaped like digits with heights that correspond with their number values. I know my students will love building and experimenting with these blocks while deepening their math understanding. Other items that will increase our math experience are the number stamps, sorting shells, and bucket of transparent shapes.

Many of the items I'm asking for will enhance our science instruction. When we begin our unit on dinosaurs, the Dino Eggs Kit will be a fascinating way for students to pretend they are paleontologists and complete their own excavations! And what better way to learn about butterflies than experiencing our own "Butterfly Nursery" and watching the transformation ourselves! Students will be able to grow their own plants with the TickleMe Plant Classroom Set and better see the plant growing process with the See It Grow Plant Lab, Grow It Garden Set, and the Life Cycle Kit.

Finally, the Liquid Floor Tiles are filled with colored liquid that make ever-changing patterns when pressure is applied. It will create a satisfying sensory and exploration experience for my students. And the Bananagrams game will help us integrate some literacy with all these fun science activities.

I love making learning fun and exciting for my students, and I know these materials will not only do that, but enhance their learning as well!
