My Students

Hello! My name is Alexandra Garcia and I am a first year, fourth-grade teacher! I work with an awesome group of 23 kids! We are a diverse group and are a little family. We all enjoy learning together and the students are so eager to learn. They constantly support and motivate each other every day. They ALL have tremendous amount of love for reading. I couldn't have asked for a better group to share my first year of teaching with!

My Project

Hello! I'm a first year teacher, and have learned so much from my students this year! Part of being a teacher is getting to know your students and recognizing their learning needs! When I teach math, I try my best to ensure that my students understand the content. There have been a few times where I have noticed that they would benefit from hands on learning manipulatives. For instance, when teaching place value students have a hard time comprehending value. Kids benefit from hands on, kinesthetic learning, so this is why I would love to provide them with math mainpulatives! I have also added some privacy folders for them to use during state testing. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
