it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students come from low income families. We strive for academic success and active community participation.
The words that describe students in my classrooms: delightful, energetic, and optimistic.
Our school is located in an area fraught with poverty and academically struggling students. As a school, we seek to close the achievement gap for these students by providing clear and high expectations for all students, a personalized and supportive learning environment that recognizes students’ accomplishments, family-school-community partnerships and service, and culturally enriched curriculum.
My Project
In science class, we need thermometers to learn about temperature. In addition, science would be even more fun for my students if they could learn about weather concepts and make snow with the speedy snow kit. The bacteria growing kit would be a great experiment in order for students to understand that all living things have cells including bacteria.
Help me bring hands-on learning to the students in my classroom.
Finally, in math class, my students need the geometric foldables o help them understand surface area. Student have have been struggling with being able to visualize 3-D figures, as well as, the concept of surface area.
