My Students

My students are the youngest of our learners! Many come into my classroom without going to preschool. Many do not have experiences that you and I consider very routine! Our school has 65-70% of our students on the free and reduced lunch program. Despite, the poverty that surrounds many of these children, they overcome! Our team (teachers, parents, and students) works hard to get these children where they need to be! I am so proud to be a part of this team!

These children come to me with very little experiences, but with a desire and excitement to learn!

It is my goal to make learning a privilege and something they enjoy, not a chore and something they dread! These children appreciate all of the experiences I try to give them in the 2 years I have them!

My Project

These hands on center activities will reinforce many basic skills! These skills are building blocks for future standards that will taught! Having these activites also allows my students to practice on their own while I work with a small group at my table! Many of my students don't have the opportunity to practice these skills in a fun way that is self checking!

With these hands on centers the kids will be practicing counting, one to one matching, rhyming, sequencing, and beginning sounds!

These are all very important skills that will give them a stronger start to their educational career! Please consider donating to help my students grow stronger in these basic skills!!
