My Students

I have 20 eager and ready learners that want to explore the nature of the world! We love Science and they are always asking questions like how? why? or who? Our Science center is very limited with only a few resources.

Science inquiries and exploration must start at an early age.

I don't want my kids to just memorize facts, I want them to actually have active and hands on learning. We are a low income school and most of my students don't have the resources and materials to help them expand their knowledge at home in Science. I hope they can be engaged and become Science inquirers in my classroom using these resources and materials I have selected.

My Project

We are active learners and explore Science daily. I want to incorporate more hands on activities and learning materials for my students. There are many times when students want to touch, feel and explore but I don't have the valid resources. I have selected a spider kit, life cycle sort game, life cycle kits, sea animal kit, spider and scorpion specimens and a few other great resources. I want to make a difference in these students' lives. I want them to leave my classroom at the end of the year with an outstanding knowledge of Science.

We need hands on materials so we can broaden our knowledge and be science knowledge rich!

We include Science in our daily routine, but just exploring books and limited resources can be boring and repetitive. With these materials my students will be excited to learn, eager to learn and want to learn more because these kits will hopefully spark and activate their learning.
