My Students

My students are Unique Amazing Learners. Being in a 6:1:1 setting only means my kindergarten students need their learning to come to life. These curious scholars are engaged in learning when they have the opportunity to touch, feel, play, and explore. My students learn best through hands-on real-life experiences. My little scholars learn even better when they can actually touch the knowledge!

My Project

Being a Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten students with Autism requires me to modify all my learning resources based on my students' unique learning styles. My Kindergarten scholars learn best with visual support and most importantly hands-on experiences. I love to create my own adapted books since it allows my students to use dry erase markers to label pictures to words, circle answers and even write words or sentences. All of these engaging hands-on activities require lamination pouches for them to be sturdy for my students. Velcro allows my students to move and match pictures based on lesson content. It’s very helpful to have all of the learning resources laminated since it helps me to create each activity based on each student individual needs. This will help my students to engage with the lesson content while we are doing a live video lesson. I want to provide my students with hands-on experiences at home. Please help me make their distance learning dreams come true! Thanks in advance.
