My Project

The books through this grant will allow our high school vocational special needs students to not only have a bigger classroom library, but it will go hand in hand with a new reading curriculum that was purchased.

These books will give our students more opportunities to learn reading and reading comprehension while reading something that they find interesting.

And that is our goal. So many of our students have a goal to read and understand what they are reading before they graduate. It is important for them to learn this skill in order to have more success in their future. These books will make a huge difference in reaching independent goals.

Our goal for this project is to bring in new books that not only match our new curriculum, but many different books with many different topics. Our goal is to also meet academic goals we have set for our students and with these books that go hand in hand with our new curriculum, we will be able to better serve our students in meeting their personal and individual goals.

Our students are all very special and not because they are all special needs, but because they are able to face this world with their disabilities. They are able to reach goals and do things that show their ability! They are constantly growing and learning and although they may need a little extra, they are proving that they will do whatever it takes to be successful after they graduate.
