My classroom is made up of the kindest group of 17 scholars eager to learn! They come to school curious and enthusiastic about their day. They work cooperatively to create, play, and learn.
All children, especially children with extra sensory needs, flourish in a calm, play-based classroom with adequate educational toys and materials, where the curriculum is interwoven into the environment.
Teachers are responsible for providing a space where children can explore, take risks, and learn through play. Often with our limited budget, this is only possible through generous donations such as DonorsChoose.Org.
My Project
These exciting educational materials will offer my kindergarteners opportunities to learn through play! My sweet students play so well together; happily engaged, problem solving, talking and learning so much from each other as they move from one activity to the next. In a play-based classroom the environment is the “co-teacher.” It’s essential to have a wide variety of materials that offer sensory stimulation while challenging their critical thinking skills. Thank you for helping me to provide my scholars with these wonderful instructional materials; materials that will stay with the school and help so many children in the years to come.
