I work at a Title I school with all students receiving free lunch. My students face daily challenges that often times interfere with their learning. Many students are not performing on grade level and need additional support in the classroom.
My students all have a desire to learn, but many lack the skills needed to be successful.
I challenge my students in the classroom daily, and I am amazed at how they respond. My students are truly incredible kids and I cannot wait to be able to support them using small groups!
My Project
My students love to participate in hands-on learning activities! In order to provide better learning experiences for my students, I need lab supplies for my classroom.
With new lab equipment and manipulatives, I will be able to provide more hands-on learning opportunities throughout the school year.
Hands-on learning keeps my students engaged and fosters a love of science. For this project, I am asking for molecular model kits, so that my students are able to build compounds and explore the world of chemistry. I am also trying to purchase water quality testing items and a new microscope!
