Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are wonderful. They come from all walks of life and are each unique.

Unlike many 4th grade programs, we do not rotate classes.

Some may see this as not preparing them for middle school but we think this is a great social bonding experience. The student move seats several times during the year allowing them to work with all the other students in the classroom. By the end of the year they are truly all family!

My Project

The students will be able to dig deeper into science by viewing slides designed for elementary students. Covid has taken its toll on the classroom. With the students back in school we have a lot of catching up to do. These microscopes with the digital screens will allow social distancing and less touching of the equipment thereby affording the students an ability to use the equipment safely. Curiosity is vital in science and my students have the curiosity. This would be giving them the equipment to fuel that curiosity and let them question and discover.
