My Students

My students have been extremely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Out of my 20 third grade students this year, fourteen of them come from Spanish-speaking homes, and three come from a home in which the parents have less than a middle school education. These children need structure and someone who can model and teach the material to them through hands-on experiences.

My Project

With so many parents still working while their children are at home trying to learn, we need to find comprehensible learning activities which teach material that the children need to know for the next grade level. My classroom is very hands-on, and, while students are at home, I would like for this to continue so children can learn.

This gift card will give me the opportunity to make hands-on activities for reading, math, writing, science and social studies that the children can do at home through remote learning.

It will also give them activities that they can do in Google Classroom and online to make them as successful as possible while learning from home.
