Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love my mild/mod TK students for their curiosity, resilience, and unique ways of engaging with the world. Every day, they bring joy and determination to the classroom as they explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. They thrive when given the right tools to learn through play, sensory exploration, and hands-on activities, which is why this project is so important.

Each item in this project has been carefully chosen to meet my students where they are and help them build foundational skills in a way that is engaging, accessible, and meaningful:

-Play-Doh: Strengthens fine motor skills needed for writing while allowing creative expression and sensory regulation.

-Sensory Fidget Tubes & Fidget Toy Set: Helps students self-regulate emotions and focus on learning by providing calming sensory input.

-Star Puzzle Connecting Pieces: Encourages problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and cooperative play.

-Lakeshore Science Viewers: Sparks curiosity about the world, encouraging early STEM exploration in a hands-on, interactive way.

-Touch & Read Phonics Word Match: Supports early literacy by making phonics tactile and interactive, helping students connect letters and sounds in a multi sensory way.

Each of my students learns in their own unique and beautiful way. Some express themselves best through movement, some through touch, and others through visuals and hands-on discovery. They are eager to learn, but they need materials that support their developmental needs, sensory preferences, and diverse learning styles. Providing them with these resources will give them the tools to succeed, explore, and grow in a way that works best for them.
