Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager and happy learners that are ready to take on Kindergarten! We are a minor (only eight teachers) Title I school where 99% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Since we are small, our budget is also limited. My students come from a low socioeconomic Latino neighborhood. Parents have to work long hours to provide for their families.

My students need hands-on activities that will engage them.

My Project

The gift cards will be used to purchase hands-on activities that students can use. I will buy and print these activities. I will use the laminator machine to laminate the activities for durability and safety.

My students love to play games, and these will help them learn.

These activities are hands-on activities to help reinforce what we are learning. It allows students that are tactile and visual learners. These activities can also be used during small groups.

Some students may have to stay home, and I will send some of these activities home for my students to use in their learning.
