My Project

Students were negatively impacted by Covid-19 because they were out of school and did not have home support. We have a high population of low socioeconomic students, about 80% are severely behind academically and in common skills. We need a circuit printer to integrate technology and real-world skills into their classroom. This will allow them to learn about digital design and create their own business plan. Students could even start an after-school club for other students. This will expose them to the real world and real-life experiences. They do not often leave the valley, so it is beneficial to bring the real world into the classroom instead.

Students could also benefit from snap circuits to give them hands-on learning in science.

They need to learn about circuits for their state assessments. They loved trying it from the lending library and would love to have it in their classroom every day. Students thrive from working with their hands and trying things. They are do-ers.

Students need markers for working daily in the classroom. The filament is refilled for the 3D pens that they have in the classroom. They use this for their STEM education. Lastly, students could use the stools at the U-shaped table in my classroom. Due to the small space, it would be a better use.

These additions to my classroom with give students a fun place to learn and will want to come to school every day. It gives them opportunities that they would otherwise not have the opportunity to have.
