My Students

Teaching in a low-income urban setting, I know that my students are faced with economic challenges both in and out of the classroom. I want my students to have access to as many materials and resources as they possibly can.

My classroom is comprised of 20 boys and girls with minds like sponges, ready to absorb all of the knowledge around them!

My students are positive and creative and never let adversity show. They are our future doctors, scientists, teachers, athletes, and mechanics---the list is endless. I am looking to give my students a giant push toward their futures by being able to give them as much as I possibly can. The future starts here and now!

My Project

Living in New Jersey, there are constant weather changes, which means my students frequently have indoor recess. I want my students to have hands-on activities to play with in the classroom. I have requested Candy Land, playing cards and Puzzle Mats for my students to use in the classroom.

With these games, my students will be able to choose from new activities that will excite them, while simultaneously teaching cooperative learning and allowing them to use their imaginations!

Recess is such an important part of the day because it allows the students to take a break and be kids! During this time, the students play while unknowingly learning essential life skills, like working together! I am so excited by the opportunities that Donor's Choose provides for teachers and their students and I thank you for taking a moment to check out my project!
