My Project

For this project, I am requesting various supplies such as cardstock, glue, scissors, and paint sticks to give students hands-on learning experiences in our Mixed Media class. With the variety of paint sticks, for example, students will study and learn about the artist Jason Naylor and then make their version of his colorful peace signs. Students will also study the African-American artist Kimmy Cantrell and create a variation of his famous asymmetrical face masks.

With these supplies, students can engage in project-based learning to explore new artists, techniques, and ways of thinking while exploring their creativity.

At a time when our school's art budget has been drastically cut, these supplies will make a world of difference in what students can create and explore.
