My Students

Many students become more interested when they are able to be involved in hands-on learning activities.

A few of my students will remember the things that I teach them after repeating them a few times. However, ALL of my students are able to learn when they are given the opportunity to explore through hands-on learning. I am always looking for ways to engage my students and introduce them to today's technology.

Many of the students in my classroom come from low-income households. Like most kids, they just want to feel welcomed and loved. Many of the students in my classroom are hands-on learners. They learn best when they are able to be a part of the process. They are more likely to remember what they are learning because they are able to see it happening. By incorporating fun technology, it is helping them learn now as well as preparing them for what the future holds.

My Project

If my classroom receives this iPad, we will put it to use right away! A lot of my students have specific individualized skills that they need to work on. I use centers within my classroom instruction to try and meet these individualized needs.

Having an iPad will allow me to find apps for skills that will help meet the individualized skills of all of my students.

Students love using technology while learning. The iPad will allow my students to learn interactively, through fun applications.

I also have students who finish their work before others. Having this iPad will help me find apps that will challenge these students so that they can push themselves to keep learning more advanced skills. Adding an iPad to my classroom will benefit my students in many ways.
