My Project

Algebra 1 is a tough subject for many students as they transition from concrete concepts to more abstract ones. They have to practice skills over and over to master them. My students struggle with combining like terms and solving equations because they are less hands on than the concepts they learned in elementary.

I have learned in my 14 years of education that the best method of teaching math concepts is by having students (yes, even high school) work with manipulatives so that they can visualize the concepts and procedures.

My students are so smart and capable and I want them to feel the same confident that I have in them.

I hope that you can support my students by contributing and providing these manipulatives. Thank you for anything you can give.
