Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What does it mean to be in a pitched percussion ensemble? We need help! We cannot get musical handbells on our own.

My students attend a high poverty K-8 public school in New Jersey.

Despite the daily adversity they face, they approach my music class with joy and optimism. I see hundreds of students each week and am continually inspired by their curiosity and eagerness.

My Project

With two sets of chromatic handbells, my students will be able to utilize the note-reading skills that I have helped them develop. They will be able to play songs in large groups and display their musicianship in a way other than singing. My students will also have the opportunity to perform for themselves and the school community.

Donations to this project will make such a difference to hundreds of students.

They will get exciting hands-on experience playing instruments. Your kindness and generosity will give my students the gift of music.
